What is Roona?
A calm skincare journal, free on the App Store for iPhone. Build a routine, keep progress photos, track your products, and get AI skin readings that lead with what your skin is doing well.
Is it free? What's Roona Plus?
The full journal—routines, check-ins, streaks, progress photos, and your shelf—is free and works offline, your journal syncs to your account at no cost, and your first AI skin reading and three ingredient checks are free too. Roona Plus is an optional monthly or yearly subscription that adds photo backup across devices and the full AI suite (unlimited readings, unlimited ingredient checks, trends, routine builder, shelf advisor, weekly reflections, monthly reports). Eligible new annual subscribers on iOS can try Plus free for 7 days; the monthly plan has no trial. Prices are always shown in the app before you confirm.
How does the AI reading work, and is it medical?
When you choose to run a reading, Roona sends that photo to OpenAI, our AI provider, and gives you a gentle, strengths-first read on your skin—no score, no diagnosis. It's informational and cosmetic only, not medical advice. Always patch-test new products and see a professional for any real concern. Full note in our terms.
Where do my photos go?
Face framing runs on your phone and is never sent anywhere. Your photos stay on your device (backed up to the cloud only with Roona Plus). A photo you send for an AI reading is never written to our database or storage—it's passed straight to OpenAI, which doesn't train on API data and may keep it up to 30 days only for abuse monitoring. More detail in our privacy policy.
Do you sell my data?
No—never. We don't sell your data or use it for ads. We only share it with the services needed to run Roona, listed in our privacy policy.
How do I cancel Roona Plus?
Subscriptions are billed by the app store, so cancel them there:
iPhone/iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Roona → Cancel.
Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Profile → Settings → Delete account, or email support@roona.app. It runs on a 30-day grace period (in case it was a mistake), then your journal, photos, and account are permanently removed. See the privacy policy.
Is Roona a skincare tracker app?
Yes. A skincare tracker (or skincare journal) app is a place to record which products you use and how your skin responds, so you can tell what's actually working. Roona does exactly that: morning and night routines, quick daily check-ins, progress photos, and optional AI readings—kept on your device, with your journal backed up to your own account. If you're new to the idea, our guide on what a skincare tracker is covers it properly. Roona 1.0 is out now on the App Store for iPhone; an Android version is in development.
